     Miller Productions, LLC will make top quality transfers at reasonable rates.

What do you need to do to create a family heirloom?

• It is worth the time and the effort to organize your family memories.

• You will need to number your items in the order you want them put onto videotape.

Film Reels:  Put your labels on the reels itself, not on the protective cap or film can.

Slides:  Number the slide trays or number the slides individually.

Pictures:  * Write the number directly or place a label on the back of the photograph.

* With a pen, you can write directly on your slides or photo's.

Finding a Film Projector: Try a full line camera store, schools, friends or relatives. If you can't find one look at the film with a magnifying glass while holding it up to a diffused light, you will probably remember what's on the reel.

   MOVIES  

    We will splice all small reels together. Rolls under 200 ft. will be returned on 400ft reels with boxes at no additional cost. Reels of 200ft or larger will be returned on the customers reels. If you wish for your original boxes to be saved, please be sure to specify that.

    Any film that needs to be repaired is. Sections of your films which are totally black or washed out (that are 3 seconds or more) will be edited out. You will only be charged for the actual film transferred.

YOUR FILM IS NOT TO OLD:

   Most customers fear their film is to old to be transferred. We rarely receive film that we can not transfer. If you have doubt, send it anyway, we'll probably be able to transfer it.
 

CONFUSING BOXES:

     Many years ago, you would purchase regular 8mm film in 25ft double lengths. After they were processed these reels were returned to you in the original boxes as 50ft reels. There are no 25ft reels.
 

FILMS OUT OF FOCUS, DARK OR FADED:

     Unfortunately, we cannot correct film which is out of focus, dark or faded. Scenes which have bright back light (the main light is behind the subject) might not allow you to see all the details of the scenes. Transferred will be determined on the appearance of scene on video. If to dark it won't be transferred.

   SLIDES   

Types Of Slides We Can Transfer:

    We can transfer any 2"x 2" mounted slides made from 135 or 126 film to videocassettes. The video image of 135 slides shot horizontally will fit the shape of your TV screen almost perfectly. Because of the rectangular shape of your TV's picture tube, the image from 135 slides shot vertically will loose 33% for either the bottom of the slide or equally from the top and the bottom. 126 slides will lose just a slight portion of the picture on the top and bottom.
 

What To Expect:

    When transferring slides & Photos the resolution and sharpness of the transferred video image is limited by the 270 line capability of the VHS VCR Systems and a 500 line capability of DVD's. For best results slides & Photos should be selected with this in mind. Close-ups transfer best and distant group shots are worst since facial details in the distant shots will be degraded in the transfer.
 

Dark, Faded, Out of Focus, Back Lit Slides:

    If you have slides which are dark, faded or out of focus, they will appear this way on your video. TRY NOT TO INCLUDE THESE TYPES OF SLIDES FOR YOUR TAPE.
 

   PHOTOGRAPHS

    Choose your favorite Photographs, one that  represents this important moments in you and your families lives. memories like weddings, vacations, holidays, baby's first day home, first day of school, and other special moments.
    Take the time to find these photos and organize them in order. Soon you'll be watching your gamily grow and the memories appear before your eves in an emotional and beautiful presentation on your TV.
 

PHOTOGRAPHS WE CAN TRANSFER:

    We are able to transfer all photographs that are 1 x 1 up to 8 x 10 in size. They can be in color or black and white. Please do not send any pictures smaller then 1 x 1, and also do not include photos that have creases in them. These lines show up on the videos.
 

PACK YOUR PHOTOS CAREFULLY:

    Please, before packing your photos, be sure your photos are numbered and placed in the order you want them to appear on the video. When packing place your photos between 2 pieces of cardboard, with a rubber band to secure them, before putting them in a box. If you wish, you may send your photos in an album, but please be sure they are in the order you want them.
 

SPECIAL REQUEST!

    If you want leave the photo up on the screen longer than 8 seconds, let us know. Put your request on the order form, if there is not enough room put it on a blank sheet of paper and attach that to the order form.
