Miller Productions offer 2 unique DVD services, one is DVD Mastering and the other is DVD recording. Both are excellent quality (or as good as the source materials). A recorded DVD is the lower cost option. Recorded DVD is simply a DVD recorded directly from your source material (VHS, SVHS, 8mm Hi-8, Digital 8, Mini-DV). Chapter are automatically placed every 5 minutes on the DVD. You and your family will enjoy your DVD for many years since these disks are expected to last at over 100 years.
DVD Mastering....................$150.00 per disc. Additional copies are the same as in Recorded DVD. If Editing requested.....$40.00 per hour * Note: There will be a charge of a $1.00 per tape that needs to be rewound before we can burn it to disc.

The difference is in the way the information is put onto the disc. Glass Mastered DVD Videos are economical solution for mass quantity DVD productions (100+pieces). DVD-Video's are the economical solution for the consumer who only needs a limited number of duplications. Player compatibility is the other difference between the two formats. While Glass mastered DVD videos are 100% compatible with all DVD players, DVD-Video's are only compatible with about 95% of all DVD players and not reliable for computers use. Miller Productions will transfer your footage to the DVD-Video format. DVD-Video is a 4.7GB disc with a single side/single layer. The DVD-Video can hold up to 120 minutes of high quality video.
A: First generation DVD players are those introduced in 1997. Many of the players that first hit the streets are not 100% compliant with the entire DVD specification. The number of these players that are in compliant is substantially higher than 5%. We have a Toshiba SD-3109 that is now 3 years old and plays DVD-Video without a problem.
A: Your player is one of the incompatible players that is unable to play the DVD-Video format. Some players show an error message immediately and others will start to play but then jumps around and play erratically. Your disk is not the problem. Your DVD player is not compatible with the DVD-Video format.
